Quail Point is a 2,000 acre licensed hunting preserve that consists of natural cover on CRP land offering ideal conditions for hunting Bobwhite Quail, Chukar, and Pheasant.

The 2008-2009 season marks our 15th Anniversary! As you may know, we have added a 15 station Sporting Clay Course as well as a 5-stand! It is a beautiful course and is a great way to improve your shooting ability! Cost is $30.00 for 100 targets and $7.50 for the 5-stand. Come out and give our targets a try!

Sporting Clays course hours---8 a.m. - 3 pm.
Wednesday - Sunday (during the hunting season).
Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday (May to October).

Quail Point's opening day this season will be Saturday, October 11, 2008 for all game birds. Once again, we are offering day shoots for the occasional hunter as well as a variety of membership packages for those of you who come up and hunt on a regular basis. We will be happy to accomodate any special requests for customized cards that you may have.

Membership cards are available all season long. Bird cards expire March 15th 2009 for pheasant, and April 12th 2008 for quail and chukar. Please note: no guarantee on bird availability after membership card expiration dates.

We hope to sharpen our computer skills this year by acquiring your email address so that you can be kept informed of upcoming events (youth shoots, conpetition shoots, etc.), deadlines, etc. throughout the year. We still prefer to take reservations as well as answer any questions you may have over the phone at 530-735-6217.

As usual, we will be open Wednesday thru Sunday for hunts. Once again we will be staying open on President's Day - February 16, 2009. Be sure to call 530-735-6217 for reservations in advance if you want to hunt on any of these days!

We will be offering breakfast and lunch at Quail Point on Saturdays and Sundays. We are also offering trade-outs on smoked birds. Rental dogs and bird cleaning are available. If you need a rental do, be sure to reserve one when you make your reservation to hunt.

If you are planning a week or two of vacation this summer, don't forget that your good old bird dog could use a vacation too! We are offering a week's stay - 1st class accommodations - at Olive Hill Kennels Resort and Spa! For $140.00 per week we will take him out and hunt him over game birds every training day - a real treat for him and a great refresher on his bird work for the upcoming season! Call and make reservations to coincide with your vacation. We will be happy to watch him while you are gone!
